Fluorite with Calcite$1,600.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This is quite a large Fluorite specimen from the famous Annabel Lee mine in the Illinois - Kentucky Fluorspar District, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA comprising several large cubic crystals. They display a very rich purple colour, particularly in their corners with a golden core. The reflection of light shows up internal cleavage surfaces, particularly across the corners, but these are intact and undamaged on the front facing surfaces. Around the edges of the specimen are some fractured internal surfaces of Fluorite crystals, showing rather duller creamy-white interiors. The crystal faces on the back of the main crystal are a little chomped, particularly on one corner, but are not too bad at all and are hidden from view. Small, pale cream coloured scalenohedral Calcite crystals are scattered upon the surface of the Fluorite. Individually, the main Fluorite crystal measures about 8 cm on edge, but it continues, stepped, into one longer crystal some 14 cm in length. It makes for a great larger display piece from Annabel Lee mine.
