The ArkenstoneFeatured
These specimens originated from the San Jose Mine in Bolivia in the early 1980s and this piece features a large Stannite crystal penetrated and overlain by Zinkenite needles. The Stannite crystal is a dark charcoal gray, complexly formed crystal whose form is almost hidden by the myriad of silvery gray Zinkenite needles on it and within it. The piece is dominated by sooty Stannite on one side with numerous, nearly isolated needles on one side and then dominated by a broad fan of Zinkenite needles in near parallel growth that dominates the opposite side. It's a showy and unusual Bolivian sulfosalt specimen!
