Galena with Pyrite and Sphalerite
Nestled on the front side of a Sphalerite matrix is an astonishingly large and well-formed cubic crystal of Galena (measuring 10.9 centimeters) from the historical and long-closed Black Jack Mine. Each of the Galena's metallic grey faces have interesting geometric surface textures and are adorned with shimmery dustings of brassy-yellow Pyrite crystals. While thicker towards the Galena's bottom and backmost faces, the Pyrite spills over, giving a nice accent to the Sphalerite. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
