Aesthetically poised atop a robust Sphalerite matrix is a large and perfectly formed cube of Fluorite, which in itself reaches a respectable size of 4.4 by 4.1 by 3.3 centimeters. In typical Elmwood fashion, the Fluorite is transparent with a pale interior and outlined by lavender zoning; many of the corners are covered in the locality's signature Carthage corners, showing glassy, smooth surfaces that heavily contrast the stepped surfaces across the center of the crystal faces. The underlying Sphalerite matrix is a classic association, this one being a particularly impressive example as it is composed entirely of sizable, sharp, lustrous crystals and provides a nice contrast to the Fluorite. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
