This is an extremely striking and perfectly balanced specimen of Amazonite and Smoky Quartz from the obscure Smoky Ghost Pocket. The lower half of the specimen features several sharp, sizable Amazonite crystals (up to 6.2 centimeters) that are deeply-saturated with a desirable turquoise blue and green color. Rising above the center of the specimen (and partially enveloping an Amazonite crystal) is a robust and well-formed Smoky Quartz that measures an impressive 12.3 centimeters in length and splendidly contrasts the Amazonite, making it the obvious focal point of the specimen. Not only does the main Smoky Quartz have a deep grey color and excellent zoning, most of the surface is frosted in a thin layer of microcrystals. Some clusters of bright white Cleavelandite are tucked into the back and sides of the specimen. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
