This wild nest of fine, needlelike Stibnite comes from the unlikely region of Tuscany: you would sooner think of fine chianti and cypress trees, but Tuscany does, in fact, produce incredible Stibnite specimens from their high-grade antimony deposits. In this hefty example, the Stibnite crystals all seem to grow towards and converge into the center of the large matrix, encasing a bright white, partially etched bit of Calcite, which in itself is further crossed through by Stibnite. The luster is excellent and tinged with blue, and the largest crystals are lined by elegant striations. This specimen comes with a custom acrylic base.
