First exploited in the early 20th century, the two primary veins of Puy-Saint-Gulmier (along with some of the nearby veins in Sauvagnat) are widely recognized for their production of iconic, breathtakingly blue Fluorite specimens. This attractive example presents a landscape of beautifully-formed, electric blue Fluorite cubes on a previous generation of deep purple Fluorite and a relatively thick matrix of bright white Quartz; each of these three colorful layers can best be seen from the specimen's back and side views. The crystals on the front side of the specimen have a glassy luster, are highly transparent, and reach up to 3.5 centimeters in size. This base comes with a custom acrylic base.
