Cerussite
The best specimens that come from the Flux Mine are its highly unusual and singular Cerussite clusters, which present here as "jackstraw" habit crystals, often dynamic, bristling clusters- almost fibrous. The concave matrix, mainly limonite, is stuffed full of said Cerussite, and the crystals get surprisingly long, keeping in proportion with the incredibly generous overall size of the specimen. The luster has a lovely pearlescence too. This mine is now considered an American classic, having been exploited for over a century now (there is about 5000 feet of workings total in the mine!) and its Cerussite examples in particular are instantly recognizable for their unusual appearance. This specimen comes with a custom base.
