This open-ended cavity is bristling puffballs of rare Ahmednagar Okenite, set against a vibrant white and blue backdrop of botryoidal, and in some cases elongated, Chalcedony. Okenite used to be produced in great numbers when the basalt fields in the area were first exploited, but since then their numbers have dwindled and very fine examples are hard to come by. With the exception of a few small spots, the Okenite is well-formed and in excellent condition, reaching up to 3.3 centimeters in diameter. To make the Okenite even better, each of the razor-thin, elongated crystals are lustrous, giving the fluffy clusters a bright scintillating shine. Beautiful crystals of well-formed, transparent, light-yellow Calcite crystallize all around the vug, with one particularly fine rhombohedron appearing at the top.
