Tourmaline (Elbaite) and Smoky Quartz
The obvious focal point of this specimen is a tall-standing, robust crystal of Elbaite (10.1 centimeters) that is aesthetically presented atop the epicenter of a glittering, white Cleavelandite matrix. The Elbaite is gemmy, glassy, and extremely colorful, presenting an intense bubble-gum pink interior that is highlighted by distinct grassy-green zones along the crystal's flat termination. Just below the main Elbaite are two sizable Smoky Quartz that are terminated, transparent, and have a dusky grey color that gives the piece an almost perfect color balance. Other Tourmaline associations are isolated across the top and underside of the specimen. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
