Shining with a glassy, smooth exterior and illustrated with extremely well-defined skeletal features, this is an exceptional, doubly-terminated Amethyst crystal from the Goboboseb Mountains, a mountain range famous for producing some of the most colorful and rich Amethyst crystals in the world. The crystal is primarily filled with colorless and light rusty orange layers with accenting wisps of deep purple throughout the terminations; the bottom of the specimen, however, is near-completely filled with the dark grey color of Smoky Quartz. Underneath the Amethyst is a small amount of host rock, which is connected to the main crystal by a thin siliceous layer. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
