This massive plate is completely composed of sharp, lustrous, intergrown Fluorite cubes, with the largest and most pronounced reaching 5.2 centimeters across the edge. Each cube has a deep purple color that is nicely offset by zones of white to lilac at the center of the cubic faces and throughout the Fluorite's interior. While these frosted zones are more translucent and somewhat cloudy, the Fluorite's more colorful edges and corners are glassy and transparent. Characteristic amongst most English Fluorites, the crystals in this piece astonishingly fluoresce bright blue under UV light. This magnificent piece came into Dan's possession after he won it in an auction hosted at the Dallas Mineralogical Symposium in 2017. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
