Evocative and visually unique, the remarkable aesthetics in this Quartz specimen are owed to the unique "Faden" habit, which results in towers of very tabular Quartz stacked upon each other, connected by a ghostly thread of inclusions down the center (this is where the name "Faden" comes from, meaning thread). These vertical crystals look strikingly similar to masts, and the matrix to the body of a barquentine vessel, with the right side acting as the bow. It reminds one of Shackleton's Endurance, complete with its icy clear crystals. You simply will not find another Quartz specimen like this. This specimen comes with a custom acrylic base.
