Sharp, large, and lustrous Magnetite crystals richly cover the matrix of this rare, classic, old-time piece from the Black Rock Mine in Beaver Co., Utah. Well over a dozen Magnetite octahedral from 1 to 2 cm on edge are clustered on this handsome piece from this iron ore mine in Utah. The sharply formed crystals are loosely clustered so the forms of the majority of the crystals are distinct. The crystals are in very good condition with only minor contacting at the periphery. Part of an educational set, with these additional items: Hematite (SYP25-10a) and Hematite ps. Magnetite (SYP25-10b).
