Steenstrupine-(Ce)$6,000.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Not only is Steenstrupine-(Ce) an extremely rare and complex species chemically - a sodium manganese iron cerium zirconium silicate phosphate hydroxide hydrate - but it is even rarer in well-formed crystals. This exceptional specimen features a remarkably large 4 cm wide extremely well-defined crystal, with superb sharp edges. It is missing its upper tip and the rear, but it remains a world-class crystal of this rarity, and from the Type Locality area in the remote Kangerlussuaq Complex, Tunu Province, Greenland. Rarely will you see another of this quality available for sale. It is from the superb systematic collection assembled by the brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021).
