Malachite and Cerussite in combination is one of the most classic, and difficult to obtain associations from the storied Tsumeb Mine. When this small pocket turned up in the early 1970s, to our knowledge there were just a small handful of these combinations to be found. This piece features a few translucent, lustrous, white/off white crystals of Cerussite. These sharp crystals have a distinct architectural look, and the vivid green Malachite sandwiched between the growth of the Cerussite provides a very aesthetic contrast. A rare treasure indeed! To this day, this small pocket remains unique. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 32492 (bought shortly after the find).
