Marvelous, large thumbnail featuring two of the great Tsumeb Mine's signature species together: Smithsonite and Cerussite. Many of the Smithsonite crystals are slender and tapered needles — up to 1.8 cm. This is a rare and sought-after habit that is immediately eye-catching. Adding to the attraction of these Smithsonites is the beautiful and uniform pink color (from Cobalt). These are complemented nicely by the bladed and gemmy Cerussite crystals, which are lustrous and up to 5 mm on edge. With both species oriented at multiple angles, and intergrown, this choice specimen displays a 'fullness' in volume and a very appealing aesthetic. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 27535.
