Razor sharp, this thumbnail crystal shows why Azurite is considered one of Tsumeb's signature species. The deep-blue color is complemented by the superb luster, which also plays the light beautifully along the faces' striations and tiers. These variations add a good deal of visual interest. The termination is excellent, with only the smallest amount of microscopic wear. Backlight the crystal sufficiently and you can see the translucent blue glow. This is a wonderful, aesthetic thumbnail. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 41387.
