Malachite ps. Azurite (chatoyant)
Historically and geographically, Malachite after Azurite from Tsumeb with this classic, chatoyant velvety luster is one of the best-known and attractive pseudomorphs in the mineral world. Here, one tabular Azurite crystal has been replaced by Malachite, with all the edges and corners of the Azurite in preserved in fine fashion. Also, as hoped, the Malachite has gorgeous, green shimmering along the surface that shows the growth patterns as the transition took place. This is an excellent thumbnail with very good aesthetics. Simplicity and complexity all in one. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 59595.
