Pectolite is the calcium analogue of serandite and is a member of the wollastonite group of mineral species. Superb serandites are synonymous with Mt. St-Hilaire, Quebec and superb pectolites are synonymous with the Jeffrey Mine of Quebec. This aesthetic specimen of glassy, tabular, colorless blades has a large single crystal with a beautiful, fan-like, diverging spray of smaller crystals on one side. This is a superb, pristine specimen from the Dr. Gary Hansen Collection and dates to the 1970s or early 80s.
