A specimen from the 2004 find in the Pingwu area, China. The Pingwu mine was famous for Scheelite and Cassiterite, the pink Fluorapatites were very scarce. This one is a superb example of the gem clear pink Fluorapatites from the Xuebaoding mountain find of 2004. The Fluorapatite crystal measures 2.2 cm and is nestled on a bed of well crystalized Muscovite. With a transparent crystal of Quartz with very well defined faces and edges. Overall a very aesthetic presentation, damage free. These Apatites are also vividly fluorescent.
