Stibnite
Stibnite crystals from the famous and long-closed Ichinokawa Mine of Japan are considered absolute classics. Primary production of these lustrous, silver-gray crystals was from 1875-1900. This one is a biterminated crystal of Stibnite, lustrous, and with nice striations on the faces. A classic very difficult to find nowadays and it comes from an old mineral collection. It is in excellent condition and much more considering the age and size of this crystal. The quality is really excellent and this remains a highly representative specimen of the species and this famous locality. Considered the world's finest until Romanian and Chinese material came to market. Even then, Japanese Stibnites hold a place of honor.
