The Clarashall mine, located in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, was a former barite mine that operated until 1974. It became known for producing beautiful barite specimens with cinnabar inclusions. The mine was situated in the Ruschberg area of Baumholder. On today's market good examples are not very often seen available. This is a good one with a grouping of glassy and gemmy colorless crystals, slightly red in color due to inclusions of cinnabar. In great condition.
