Zircon
Recently discoveries of Zircon crystals in alkaline pegmatite in the Gridone - Monte Limidario area in Switzerland offer an entirely different perspective on fine Zircon crystals. Totally different in colour, form and lustre to those from Seiland Island in Finnmark, Norway these new finds from the Swiss alps are just as dramatic. This stunning small cabinet display specimen features a very large (over 5.5 cm long) single perfect doubly-terminated Zircon crystal. Pale pink in colour and with a mottled translucent appearance, the complex form of its crystal faces makes for fascinating study. A stunning alpine Zircon which sits wonderfully for display.
