A beautiful translucent deep green moldavite specimen. Moldavite is a type of tektite, a natural glass formed by the impact of a meteorite or asteroid on Earth. Specifically, it's a green, silica-based glass believed to have originated from an impact event in southern Germany about 15 million years ago. The impact caused molten rock to be ejected into the atmosphere and then fall back to Earth, where it cooled into these unique, green glasses. this weighs 12.28 g.
