A thick lustrous translucent terminated crystal of liddicoatite-elbaite from Madagascar, presented in great condition. The crystal shows strong vitreous luster, excellent form, and attractive internal translucency, with a well developed natural termination that enhances its display quality. Madagascar is one of the premier sources for complex tourmaline species including liddicoatite and elbaite, known for producing well formed crystals with distinctive color zoning and robust habits. Fine terminated examples such as this are highly sought after by collectors for both their mineralogical interest and aesthetic appeal.
