A sharp scheelite crystal (to 4 cm across) sits in a nest of sparkling, pastel green gemmy fluorites, on this classic combination piece out of the 1990s production in this famous fluorite mining region of China. Scheelite from this location is rare, and is considered very desirable when combined with the fluorite for contrast and beauty. This is a sharp crystal, with color and luster across. The accents of dolomite spheres (actually balls of crystals), are a welcome further contrast of color and texture. Old material, admittedly not as colorful and in vogue as scheelite from Ping Wu in Sichuan, but much, much more rare on the market! In the China suite of the Steve Smale collection for approximately 30 years.
