A classic from the 1990s, this is the old style of Shangbao fluorite crystals with sharp purple cube faces in a stepped and modified cuboctahedral crystal. This crystal (2.1 cm) is complete, all around, and perched nicely on contrasting matrix like a pedestal for display. The association of dolomite crystals at the base of the fluorite is very beautiful as an accent. Steve has kept this for decades because of its special style, for the associations. Steve bought much of the Shangbao production at the time, as he was based in Hong Kong in the early 2000s. He then sold/traded them to the rest of us. This miniature, he kept for nearly 2 decades in his Chinese miniatures suites.
