Silver on Acanthite

Silver from China is often wiry and gracile, but this cluster presents strong, sturdy wire silver crystals shooting up to either side of an acanthite ore matrix. It is graceful and yet solid at the same time. Old material from the early 2000s, this is quite unlike most native silver wire specimens found in China more recently, which tend to be thinner and softer in appearance. This really is a superb miniature for the size class, in a Chinese or worldwide silver suite.
