Description
Cerussite from Tsumeb Mine, Namibia. 21st Century.
Cerussite is a lead carbonate cherished for its complex forms and jewellike aesthetics. The most prized discovery was unearthed in 1978 at the Tsumeb Mine. Producing less than 20 fine examples, with one commonality, the crystals all mimicked snowflakes! Translucent and delicate the shape is whimsical and unexpected for a mineral composed of over 75% lead.
