Manganocalcite

Manganocalcite is the pink variety of calcite, colored by manganese (Mn). While the vast majority are pale pink, this piece boasts a distinct, bubblegum-pink hue. Most surprising, however, is its form, a balanced trio of branches comprising intergrown crystals. Its symmetry is uncanny, as though purposely composed. Glossy luster further punctuates its texture. Already unprecedented, it defies the odds with its astounding size and whimsical form, an unmatched treasure of the species.
