Tucson, Arizona, USAClassic dark camouflage green glossy Mottramite microcrystals richly encrust rock matrix, but it is the addition of many white twinned Cerussite crystals which makes this piece so interesting. Occasionally, you see small miniature specimens with perhaps one nicely twinned Cerussite crystal on Mottramite, but this specimen is much bigger and much richer. Individually, the Cerussite crystals reach a little over 1.5 cm across and each presents a slightly different form of twinning. They are not gemmy, but opaque white with slight colour zoning enhancing their crystal shape. The main Cerussite crystals are all in excellent condition. A classy, classic combination piece.
