This thumbnail off-matrix interpenetrant twinned Fluorite from the famous Heights mine at Westgate, Weardale is exceptionally gemmy. Totally transparent and with a rich emerald-green colour which shifts to blue under natural daylight this is a very classy Height's mine twin. The crystal faces are extremely glassy and display exceptional growth lines associated with interpenetration twinning. The main corners and edges of the crystals are immaculate, the longest edge reaching 1.7 cm in length.
