Exquisite Triplite crystal with an irregular termination that showcases a translucent, gem quality, highly saturated red color that is straight fire! The huge 4.5 cm. long crystal is cleaved on both sides possibly from pocket stresses or during extraction, but this does not detract from the incredible aesthetics and superior color of this gem Triplite. The cherry red Triplite crystal is unusually thick at 1.1 cm. Almost complete all around except a few minor edge contacts. While there are some black inclusions present, there are still substantial, large gemmy areas to this crystal - significant in such a rare and colorful species. This is a significant Triplite specimen for the find. Masses approximately 29 grams!
