This is a robust example of gemmy, twinned diaspore crystals from a historic and classic location for the species, that was recently worked for gem rough as the species becomes more popular in the real world (trademarked as czarite or zultanite to the public). Diaspore from this location is absolutely the best in the world! However, few GEM transparent crystals exist and have ever been found over 3 or 4 cm. This is a robust, balanced twin of the most rare form of the open twinning, with two balanced (twinned) crystals in a complementary and balanced aspect. Most open twins look more like a checkmark, and are more gracile. Large examples to 6 inches were found, but dark and not lustrous or gemmy as this is. For the size, as a full miniature, it should be considered an important example from modern era finds at this historic locale.
