Description
An amazing wulfenite with amazing aesthetics and amazing history back to the 1960s: Jack purchased this from his favorite dealer, Walt Lidstrom, in the 1970s. This specimen was in the famous collection of Arch Oboler, a major Los Angeles area collector of the early-1900s who was a writer for radio shows like the Shadow (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arch_Oboler); and built a collection of uniformly fine and important specimens that was well known of in Southern California circles. Today, very few documented specimens from this private collection turn up on the market. His collection was sold to the famous dealer Martin Ehrmann in 1968, and this ended up with Jack, and now with us. The specimen is a beautifully balanced miniature with a 2 x 2 cm wulfenite standing proudly in the middle. It is like an orange column, just standing straight up unexpectedly. No damage. Complete all around. A remarkable survivor, subtly different than others.
