Description
A unique combination piece of smoky quartz of different styles, all on one beautiful small cabinet specimen. This piece features a dramatic 5 cm-tall and GEM clean smoky quartz point rising above a GEM gwindel smoky, 6 cm across. The contrast of two smoky quartz forms is striking, and it is all perched on a bit of matrix for upright display. Complete all around, and superb in aesthetics. We do not often see the association of gwindels perched on regular quartz, let alone as aesthetic as this (more often, just on big jumbled plates). This was collected by the legendary Swiss strahler Teodozi Venzin and sold to Jack by Teo in 1986 (his label accompanies the specimen). The piece is so unique for aesthetics, but also fine and pristine, complete all around. It is truly natural and not over cleaned, as some labs can do with quartz these days. It actually has never been to a lab, cleaned only with water since being found.
