This super miniature tri-coloured fully terminated gem crystal of Elbaite Tourmaline from Paprok, Afghanistan measures 5.2 cm tall with a second terminated crystal in parallel growth. The crystals display the classic three-sided 'rounded' prism with lovely vertical striations and a fine sloping pyramidal termination. Two-thirds of the specimen is a clear gummy pink above which is a short light green zone into the pleasing gem blue termination with white opaque frosting on top. Although not completely transparent, light passes through the crystals extremely well meaning that this piece looks fantastic when backlit. It comes with a custom acrylic base for optimal display.
