This famous find of azurite was made on Level 8 in 1994 at the world renowned Tsumeb Mine in Namibia. This mine became famous worldwide for its diversity of mineral species and its fine copper species in particular. Until the Milpillas mine Tsumeb was well known for producing the best specimens of azurite in the word. This particular find in 94 is renowned as some of the best azurite specimens ever found at the mine.
