This sharp fluorite looks carved, because it is so precise and machined-looking in symmetry. A classic specimen and style from this mine, it is just particularly nice for the isolation and the way the crystal is perched on a natural pedestal of matrix. The crystal has edges to 2.5 cm (an inch), and is sharp and complete all around. Most fluorite from this location occurred in plates of adjoined crystals. Laszlo Kupi photo.
