This is a classic example of the old style of Brazilianite that was found in the 1940s-1950s, and never since in this shape and quality of color and gemminess. The crystal is 2 cm across and nearly as tall, so it is very balanced; and it has perfect old-style yellow-green color that is really quite unique in the mineral world. Perched on a small crystal cluster of muscovite mica, for elegant display, this is a choice thumbnail specimen. Laszlo Kupi photo.
