A stunning small miniature or large thumbnail-sized specimen featuring a single, isolated, doubly-terminated ruby measuring 2.2 cm from tip to tip. Freestanding rubies are rare enough, but a floating crystal like this, displaying both tips, AND with translucency and hot color and that waxy Burma luster...this is a rare piece, in total. It is a large thumbnail but can fit in most TN collections, or the bottom can be trimmed a little as well at the base to shorten it. This is old, from the 1990s or early 2000s. From the Bill Larson Burma Collection to Wayne Thompson.
