NATIVE Silver with Acanthite$4,000.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Kongsberg in Norway is the ultimate locality for Native Silver. Known for centuries, the "King's Mountain" mines have furnished museums around the world with the most spectacular of crystallized Native Silver specimens, usually as coarse wire growths. This fine miniature to large miniature specimen forms a dense matted nest-like aggregate of Native Silver wires, most displaying a bright rose-coloured metallic patina, but with darker areas of Acanthite on the surface. This specimen comes with an old German handwritten label documenting that it was bought in 1886 from Hrn ?Pruninger. A fine and rich Kongsberg Native Silver, different to the usual wires protruding from matrix but wonderful nevertheless.
