Kammererite is the rare, chrome-rich variety of clinochlore. There is nothing that quite matches the vivid purple-red hue of kammererite as found in a series of remarkable pockets some 20 years ago at the top locality, the Kop Krom Mine in Turkey. This superb thumbnail features discrete, beautifully striated, gem crystals to 8 mm on matrix. Ex. Irv Brown Collection.
