Kammererite is the rare, chrome-rich variety of clinochlore. There is nothing that quite matches the vivid purple-red hue of kammererite as found in a series of remarkable pockets some 20 years ago at the top locality, the Kop Krom Mine in Turkey. This excellent specimen features discrete, beautifully gemmy crystals to 7 mm aesthetically scattered on a matrix plate covered with kammererite microcrystals. Ex. Jaime Bird Collection.
