Azurite
Unknown Owner
Milpillas mine, Mexico is very much the modern classic Azurite occurrence, renowned for extremely well-formed glossy, gemmy crystals, often beautifully arranged on matrix. Many of these were discovered from about 2005 onwards, but in short bursts. This superb large miniature specimen of Azurite from Milpillas mine displays a remarkable stepped crystal, not only because of its size - at nearly 4 cm tall - but because of its combination of size, perfection in form and its brilliant bright lustre and great colour, ranging from electric blue to an intense dark royal blue. A really eye-catching dramatic Azurite. It comes with a custom-made base for display.
