This is one of the larger specimens of size, with among the larger crystals as well, to come out of the recent finds of shocking and surprising intense green fluorite from a metals mine in Peru from 2020-24. Most of those fluorites, which you will see on our site and elsewhere online, are octahedral or modified octo's; while this specimen features huge glowing intense green cubic crystals to 6 cm in size. The whole plate just glows with almost neon green color. It is translucent, when backlit, without the need of strong lighting. It stands apart as a huge color plate from the find which should be rated with different metrics from the now traditional "green octahedral" style we have seen. These are not found in large pockets, and the mine is not a rich fluorite mine. They only come in small seams, like a needle in the haystack, and good pieces over 3-4 inches are uncommon. This particular piece would date back to 2022-23. We have handled hundreds of them, including most major specimens known, and regard it as very unique. Almost too big, for many of our collectors. Fluorescent purple under SW ultraviolet light.
