Description
Serandite is, by most opinions, the most beautiful rare species from Canada in large size. Some think it is a feldspar group mineral because of its shape (as did I for many years) but it is actually the manganese analogue of the normally boring species, pectolite. This is a very large specimen with top color, huge size, dramatic aesthetics. It looks like a tower of columns reaching up. It is one of the finest I expect to see on market in decades, as most are now in museums or situated in private collections. These came out of only a small pocket zone called "The Glory Tunnel" in the late 1980s, and nothing of this quality was seen before or since.
