A nice sparkling specimen of rhodochrosite from the famous Kalahari manganese fields. The crystals are color zoned grading from a bubble gum pink to red at the tips. Overall a very neat specimen. I note a yellow crystal that is an unknown species. It has a platy sheetlike structure when viewed under a microscope. Ex. Sandra Gonzales
