Hematite

This is a truly unique and wonderful example for the species with lustrous botryoidal hematite forming a large matrix less cluster. This is in super condition all around. The specimen comes with a custom acrylic display base. Originally labeled as psilomelane, a streak test will prove that this is hematite. The specimen was figured in the mineralogical record, January, February, 2024 issue, page 98, figure 31. This has been on public display at the Cincinnati, 2003 show, Tucson 2017, East Coast 2018, in Denver, 2023 shows.
